Cult Nails Behind Closed Doors has just been released and it's absolutely stunning!!!
The latest collection created by Maria and inspired by her friends, family and Culties consists of 5 shimmers. Perfect for the season.
Disciplined is a soft green based grey with a blue and pink sparkle. It's sheer, almost jelly, but built up easily in 3 coats. I really love how delicate it looks and I think that its softness would have been lost in an opaque creme so I don't mind the 3 coats for once.
Flushed is the most amazing purple I've seen in a long time! Warm and dusty purple base with a strong hot pink flash, it literally glows every time light hits it. Formula was even and self-leveling and although I didn't achieve 100% opacity with 2 coats, I didn't feel the need to apply a third one, it just felt right that way.
Coveted is also a stunner! I'm sure it would instantly convert anyone to green polish. A deep forest green with a sexy shimmer and various sizes of green flakes (not flakies) that screams Holiday, pure perfection, sigh. I used 2 coats plus topcoat here.
Bitten is a dark magenta packed with glass flecks. It's deep and sexy and the name is a perfect match with the shade. I used 2 coats here and they dried slightly lighter than the bottle but I'm sure a third one would achieve bottle color if you prefer it darker.
Afterglow is a deep and glowing coppery brown with a metallic looking pink sparkle. It's really different from all of the other browns I have and I love the dimension the shimmer adds. There's also a slight color shift towards gold in the bottle but it only appears under extreme lighting angles on the nails. Formula on the sheer side but actually quite nice and I reached full opacity after 3 coats.
And here's a quick gif showing the shimmer color shift:
