Hi everyone, I have a quick post to share with you today!
With all the Fall collections slowly popping in stores, I decided to use one of my darkest piCture pOlish colors for my weekly PP post : Aphrodisiac! Or should I say a maskarade-ded Aphrodisiac ^_^
Aphrodisiac is a rich blackened purple shimmer, super vampy! I love dark purples, especially when they appear to be lit from within like this one. Formula was absolutely flawless : even, smooth and highly pigmented. I used 2 thin coats plus topcoat in my swatches but it would be an easy one-coater on shorter nails.
Mask-a-Rade is a chameleon glitter made of ultra fine multichrome rainbow glitters in a clear base. I don't think it could be built up to full opacity but it makes a perfect layering / glitter gradient polish! Here it is over Aphrodisiac, topped with top coat.
And now, the extras!
When I posted my piCture pOlish Blog Fest neon dotticure (link), I didn't show you "real" swatches of the polishes I used so here's a closer look at Hot Lips, Sunset and Citrus!
I used 2 coats plus topcoat for all three colors. They all applied completely evenly. Hot Lips and Sunset had a jelly consistency and showed a very very slight VNL under certain angles but not enough to justify a third coat IMO. Citrus felt more like a cream and was fully opaque with 2 coats.
