Girly Bits Spring 2016 Sweet Nothings Collection swatches & review

Hi everyone, I hope you're all having a great week so far!
Mine hasn't started in the best way. I got a migraine that I couldn't seem to get rid of somehow but I'm feeling much better now and I can't wait to share with you all of my upcoming posts!

Starting today with a collection I'm suuuuper excited about : the Girly Bits Spring 2016 Sweet Nothings.
If you're wondering why I'm so giddy about these, well, they're super cute, for starters, but I also have to tell you guys that I got to name one of them! Awesome, right?!

So, let's give them all a closer look.

The Sweet Nothings collection is a set of 5 pastel shimmers and 2 glitters. They are all named after French terms of endearments that I'll translate for you guys.

Bonbon d'Amour
"A white crelly with a mix of bright circle glitter, smaller pastel glitter, and purple metallic flakes."

Bonbon d'Amour (Love Candy) is a really fun glitter that I can definitely see myself wearing a lot accented. Formula was on the thicker side so I had to add a couple of drops of thinner but I was assured hat the retail products would be reformulated accordingly. I used 2 coats topped with the Girly Bits Glitter Glaze topcoat.

Mon Chéri
"A mid tone blush pink crelly that leans slightly peach, with peach and gold shimmer and platinum silver shimmer."

Mon Chéri (My Darling) is not the type of color I usually go for but I really loved the palate-cleanser-with-a-twist look it achieved. Formula was outstanding and an easy 2 coater.

Mon Chou Chou
"A mid tone lilac crelly, with pink and blue shimmer, and platinum silver shimmer."

Mon Chou Chou (My Dearest) is the most perfect shade of pastel purple for me. I really love it! I used 2 easy, self-leveling coats and topcoat.

Tarte au Sucré
"A lilac microglitter accented with silver holo, red shimmer and multi coloured iridescent glitter."

Tarte au Sucré (Sugar Pie) is a super sparkly, eye catching glitter in the sun (or under artificial lighting) AND a more subdued yet still sophisticated polish in the shade. Nice application, zero goopiness whatsoever and a 2 to 3 coats coverage. I used 3 thin coats plus topcoat.

Bleu de tes Yeux
"A sky blue crelly with blue and platinum silver shimmer."

Bleu de tes Yeux (Blue of your Eyes) is the shade that I named and my favorite! No surprise here. Formula was a bit thicker than Mon Chéri and Mon Chou Chou but still easy to work with. Shown below are 2 coats plus topcoat.

J'ai Besoin de Toi
"A light (dusty?) sage green crelly with platinum silver shimmer."

J'ai Besoin de Toi (I Need You) is different from your usual cyan or yellow based green pastels and a total win! I recommend using thin coats with this one to achieve an even 2 coats coverage, as shown here.

Mon Petit Canard
"A pastel yellow crelly, with copper and platinum silver shimmer."

Mon Petit Canard (My Little Duck) is yellow you might find yourself enjoying a lot even if yellows aren't usually your thing. It's the one I had the hardest time photographing but I still really loved wearing it. A curse, really, Formula seemed similar to J'ai Besoin de Toi. I used 2 coats plus topcoat.

Overall : I love this collection. They all look super cute together and make nice array of pastel shimmers. My favorite is Bleu de Tes Yeux (obviously!) but I surprisingly enjoyed Mon Chéri and Mon Petit Canard as well.
