Guest Post : Ivana from Ivana Thinks Pink sings the blues with a gorgeous sandwich mani!

I hope all of you already know Ivana because she's an amazing blogger with amazing pictures? If you don't, now's your chance, she has created a beautiful look for us!

When Sam contacted me if I would make a guest post for her, I was totally shocked! Me? Like really? Me? :) Sam's blog is definitely one of my favorite so I'm really happy and honored to be here today. I love her nails, her pictures, well everything. ♥
I really had no idea what to do for her guest post. She - and probably all of you expected a pink manicure from me, but I decided to make something blue. :P Sam really makes some amazing layering combos that's why I decided to make something similar. I'm in love with polish sandwiches lately, so I decided to make a glitter sandwich.

I started with a coat of China Glaze - First Mate from Anchors Away Spring 2011 collection - dark navy blue creme. I added 2 layers of Kiko Sparkle Touch - 270 Aqua Sequins. This Kiko is a gem - clear base with regular and hexagonal glitter in blue - green iridescent glitter. Amazing!  Anyone who knows me also knows that I don't like having green on my nails, so I decided to layer a coat of Essence - Cool and the Gang. It's a royal blue jelly polish, probably a dupe for Revlon - Royal. I finished my manicure with a layer of top coat to achieve a super glossy look. :)

That's how I got a lovely, Deborah Lippmann inspired, manicure. :D

Here's a close up. :)

What do you think? :) I hope you enjoyed my glitter sandwich and thank you so much Sam for having me here. ♥

Well these were beautiful swatches, weren't they? Ivana your painting skills are amazing, I love your blog!

  11. I love sandwiches - and this shows you don't have to always have jellies only. Starting with First Mate was brilliant and anything else darker would have make this not pop like it does. I am seeing something I like better than Lady Sings The Blues! Really great Ivana - and also thanks for acknowledging you think pink this Wen. I am a now 2X BC survivor.
