Guest Post : Salla from OMG! Polish'em! treats us with the cutest stamping ever!

I hope everyone's had the most amazing weekend!
Today, I have for you a gorgeous stamping mani made by my girl Salla from the OMG! Polish'em! blog. Salla loves nail art and regularly posts gorgeous designs.

Hello to all gorgeous readers of Fashion Polish! When Sam mentioned on Twitter she was DMing few ladies to write guest posts for her gorgeous blog, I honestly said “lucky ladies” out loud. When I noticed I had received DM from Sam as well, I was literally shocked!

Sam is one of my favorites and one of the first bloggers I started following, which is a lot to be said from a person like me. :D Sam is also responsible for flooding my wish list that has made my bank account cry more than one time - shame on you, lady!

The only guideline Sam gave to me was to do something representative for my own blog. I pondered for a while what would be “very me” and came to conclusion quite soon: stripe manicures. I got into stripers (nail art polishes) quite late and recently I have found myself playing with them quite a few times, as I enjoy how easy and carefree they truly are.

I started this manicure with two coats of Iseult by a-england which has become my favourite indie brand. Iseult is packed with subtle shimmer but I wanted to make it more visible and added a coat of Pure Pearlfection by Essie on top.

I took four nail art stripes from Art Club, lighter colors are from the Pastel set and darker ones are from the Neon set. I started with white Kiss nail art striper and drew a line from cuticle towards the free edge, starting around 1/3 of the nail. Then I drew the rest of the lines with light pink, light blue, darker pink and darker blue in that order.

After the stripes were dry, I placed scotch tape around the cuticle like you do when water marbling. I decided to use Red Angel plate RA-110 which is the French tip plate. Instead of stamping the free edge, I flipped the image upside down to make a stamped half-moon on all the fingers except ring finger. On ring finger I used Konad plate M59 for the bow and used a dotting tool to make white polka dots on the bow. I used Konad’s special nail polish in black for the stamping.

I wasn’t completely satisfied with the look so I took Pure Pearlfection again and went over the stripes to give them similar finish to Iseult. :) A coat of Seche Vite and I was done! Here’s the finished look.

So there was my  guest post! I hope you have enjoyed your stay with me. :) Once again, thank you so much Sam for asking me to write you a guest post!
