Animal print mani

Today I'd like to show you one of my all time favorites nail art theme.

I actually have a lot of different ways to do animal print manicures with many variations but I thought I'd begin with the easiest, quickest one :
the matte/glossy monochrome leopard print.

The best thing with this manicure is that it is very sober as it won't show from a distance and that you can do it in any color you like.

Eyeko Posh + Opi You don't Know Jacques
Illamasqua Boosh
Essie Jag-U-Are + Essie Limited Addiction

You will need :
  • a matte nail polish or a glossy one with a matte top coat (a shimmer or metallic nail polish is best because once matified, it's nicer)
  • a second nail polish, a bit darker than the first one (you can do it with the same nail polish but the result will be better with a darker one)
  • a dotting tool (or anything equivalent, a bobby pin will do) or a nail art pen

1   Apply one or two coats of nail polish
2   Mattify it if it's not already a matte
3   Start anywhere you like and begin drawing using the nail art pen
or the dotting tool and a drop of the 2nd nail polish on a piece of paper
4   Keep on drawing while alternating size and design, it doesn't have to be perfect.

That's it you're done, don't use top coat

Tell me if you like these step by steps so that I can keep them coming.

You should give it a try, it's really not hard at all 'cause it doesn"t have to be perfect.
