If you've read my previous Rescue Beauty Lounge post then you must know that for the first time in months, all of the RBL cores (Chinoise, Plié, Coral, Grunge and Moulin Rouge) are back in stock!
I had already reviewed Chinoise a few months ago but Plié was missing so I'm really excited to be able to share it with you today. But I have more : yellows, or to be more specific Square Pants and Yellow Fever!
Plié is a very delicate nude pink with a slight antique hue. I've already made it quite clear how difficult I can be with pinks or nudes for that matter but for some reason RBL's nudes always seem to suit my skintone. Formula was really nice and pigmented and applied nicely in 2 coats. I used 3 here for swatching purposes.
Square Pants was released along with Bikini Bottom (in stock) and Starfish Patrick (back soon) as part of the Spongebob Collection. I must confess that I've been going back and forth about buying them for months and I'm soooo glad I finally got to try Square Pants! Yes it's very sheer and yes, it took me 4 coats to achieve a reasonable opacity but I just love how incredibly soft and delicate it looks. This is 4 thin coats and no topcoat.
Yellow Fever is a bright sunshine yellow with a secret silver shimmer. Yellows are notorious for their streakiness but I actually found it very manageable. I can definitely see myself wearing it with a black outfit. Really opaque and pigmented, I used 3 coats for full opacity.
The more I try Rescue Beauty Lounge products, the more I love them.
Plié is modern and classic at the same time and will most probably suit everyone while the yellows Square Pants and Yellow Fever might be more challenging or require a daring personality but I love them all.
Plié, Square Pants (limited edition) and Yellow Fever (limited edition) can be purchased directly on Rescue Beauty Lounge and retail for $18 each (12ml / 0.4 fl.oz). International shipping available.
