Zoya Fleck collection quick Swatches and Review

You've most probably seen the Zoya Fleck collection everywhere by now so I'll keep this review short. I really wanted to show them all layered together because I think they look beautiful this way.

Zoya Chloe : orange and sparse green flakies in a sheer pink base.
Zoya Opal : green flakies with a very subtle blue color shift in a sheer green base.
Zoya Maisie : green to blue flakies in a sheer blue base.

from left to right : Chloe, Opal, Maisie, one coat each.

Here are all 3 polishes layered over black :

And here's how they look under a different lighting angle, enhancing the blue side of Maisie:

Overall :
I really like this collection, formula was very nice and easy to work with. Relatively thin and fast drying, one coat delivers enough flakies for a nice look, two maximises the effect.
I only wish Maisie had blue to purple flakies instead of green to blue, it would give the collection more layering possibilities over darker colors.

What about you? Did you get any of these? What's your favorite color combos?

Off topic : I'm wearing these over A England Camelot, which is, in my humble opinion, THE best one coater black ever! If you love black nail polish or use it for layerings (flakies, duochromes, glitters,...) there's no hesitation you need it. I'm halfway through mine and just bought two more bottles ^_^

  1. I love them altogether! That looks awesome! I was a little disappointed when these first came out though that Maisie and Opal, while different in the bottle, look so similar when on. I agree with you, I wish Maisie was blue to purple instead to make it more unique.

  2. Thanks for the tip on the black base. Any brand that I have bought that does well with one coat doesn't go on smooth. I have to check it out.

  6. I so need a one coater black. Is it good for stamping? I agree with you gals about Masie and Opal being too similar. That was my only disappointment I had when I bought all three, but you can tell them apart when you layer them over white.

  7. I have to second GaffoRama's compliment of your photos! That last macro with all the flakies and the lighting hitting just so? Wowza! Awesome.

  13. I agree with you, I have Opal and Maisie and aside from a slight difference in the base I feel the flakies are too similar. If they had gone with a purple-blue flakie that would have been awesome!
